Biography
With more than 30 years experience in marketing and public relations, Cynthia Legette Davis uses her creative skills to produce and offer products and services to help people live more peaceful, balanced and joyful lives. Toward that aim, she is author and publisher of the following books and online resources:

As a speaker, Cynthia provides workshops, seminars and keynote speeches on topics related to life balance and personal peace. She has presented to companies and organizations that include: Michelin; S.C. Department of Education; S.C. Parks, Recreation and Tourism; Palmetto Project; Public Relations Society of America; S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice, Florence Chamber of Commerce; Columbia Rotary Club(s); Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce, Benedict College, Midlands Technical College, Florence-Darlington Technical College, SC Book Festival, Richland County Recreation Commission, the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, the Columbia Community Relations Council, and the South Carolina Christian Action Council.

- Is a graduate of the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism.
- Is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and Leadership South Carolina.
- Is founder and executive director of Access Leisure, a non-profit organization.
- Was founder and publisher of Leisure Fun magazine for five years.
- Was co-publisher and editor of South Carolina Business Vision magazine for eight years.
- Was a member of Toastmasters International for six years.
- Was adjunct professor and a member of the Partnership Board for the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism.
- Has been featured in a variety of local radio and television media and in newspapers throughout the Southeast including the: Atlanta Journal, Glamour Magazine, State Newspaper, Charleston Post and Courier, Sun News, Greenville Piedmont, Spartanburg Herald Journal Anderson Independent and the Rock Hill Herald.
- Has received a number of awards for her writing and publishing skills including: Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), bronze ADDY Award from the Columbia Advertising Club, Award of Excellence and Award of Merit from the Carolina’s Association of Business Communicators, Award of Excellence from the Life Communicators Association, Institutional Award of Excellence for an Annual Report and the Special Merit Award from the Council for Advancement and Support Education.
- Helped to establish community groups for improved race relations in more than a dozen counties in South Carolina.
- Is a member of the following organizations: SC Race Reconciliation Council, SC Racial Healing Work Group, Columbia Race Relations Luncheon Club, Columbia World Affairs Council (board of directors) Brookland Baptist Church, New Carolina Distressed Areas Task Force, and the Columbia Museum of Art.
- Enjoys leisure activities that include reading, live theatre, movies, dance, zumba, concerts, gardening and golf.
